Art Alum's work influenced by travel to Japan

Lincoln, Neb. - Abigail Rice, a senior from Lincoln, Neb., came to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with the plan of majoring in engineering. After her first physics class, Rice discovered it wasn’t for her.

Helgenberger and Hill join Advisory Board

Lincoln, Neb. - Emmy Award-winning actress Marg Helgenberger and Academy Award-winning film editor Mike Hill have joined the Hixson-Lied Advisory Board.

Danielle Dewees designs her passion for 4-H

Lincoln, Neb. - Danielle Dewees, a junior from Nelson, Neb., was involved with 4-H while growing up. When she visited the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as a prospective school, she asked if there were any opportunities to work in the 4-H department.

Katz receives Smithsonian Senior Fellowship

Lincoln, Neb. - University of Nebraska–Lincoln Associate Professor of Art History Wendy Katz has received a 2013 Smithsonian Senior Fellowship. She will conduct research in Washington, D.C., from January to April 2014.

BFA/BA capstone exhibition opens April 29

Lincoln, Neb. - The University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Department of Art and Art History presents the work of this semester's graduating seniors in the "BA/BFA Capstone Exhibition" April 29-May 3 in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall.

A closing reception will be held on Friday, May 3 from 5-7 p.m. in the Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public.
