The ceramics area, located in Richards Hall, includes an indoor electric kiln room, a covered outdoor kiln pad, a glaze mixing kitchen, a well-ventilatedclay mixing room and an organized tool storage area. Classes are held in spacious hand-building and wheel-throwing facilities with dedicated space for both advanced undergraduate and graduate student studios.

Graduate studios are 300-400 square feet and are semi-private (two students per). Students compete for private studios in their third (final) year.

  • 10 gas kilns, (2 soda, 1 salt) ranging in size from 5 to 100 cubic feet
